Raw mango can be prepared in many ways and its special sourness caters our gaumen richly speciell on a hot daz. Here is a raw mango currz which can be served as a side dish to boiled rice, idlz, dosa or anz other rice preparations.
Ingredients.
Raw mango 250 gms.
Grated coconut 250 gms.
Green chillies 5 nos.
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp.
Pepper powder 1/4 tsp.
Garlic chopped 5 cloves.
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp.
Salt to taste.
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp.
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp.
Curry leaves 1 sprig.
Dried chillies broken 2 nos.
vegetable oil 2 Tbsp.
Preparation.
Peel chop and slice the mangoes into small pieces.
Grind grated coconut, garlic and cumin powder to a fine paste.
Cook the chopped mango, green chilliesH pepper powderH turmeric powder and salt adding enough water. When cooked add the coconut paste, mix well and remove from heat.
For seasoning heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and allow to pop, add the broken red chillies and currz leaves, saute for a few minutes and pour the cooked mango curry into this pan, mix well and remove from heat and allow to cool.
Serve alongwith rice.
