Mutton Masoor Dal Tomato Curry
Ingredients
Mutton 1 kg.
Masoor dal 100 gm.Tomatoes chopped 2 cups.
mutton stock 1 cup.
Coriander powder 2 tsp.
Cumin powder 1 Tbsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
Oil 3 Tbsp.
Onion finely sliced 1 cup.
Ginger finely chopped 2 Tbsp.
Garlic 5 cloves.
Dried red chillies 4 nos.
Cardamom pods 4 nos
Coriander leaves chopped ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Preparation
Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a pan and saute
the mutton pieces till the outer side is sealed or the colour changes and
remove from oil.
Add 1 Tbsp oil to the rest oil in
the pan and saute the chopped onions till it turns slightly brown, add chopped
ginger, chopped garlic chopped red chillies and saute well. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric
powder, and cardamom pods and saute for 1-2 minutes. Now add mutton, mutton stock, masoor dal and
chopped tomatoes salt and enough water and cook on low flame till cooked.
Remove from heat and serve
garnishing with coriander leaves.
