Sweet Pulao / Sweet Pilav

Ingredients

Basmati rice 250 gm.
Water 1/2 litre
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp.
Ghee (clarified butter) 2 Tbsp.
Cardamom pods 5 nos.
Cloves 5 nos.
Cinnamon sticks a small piece
Nutmeg a small piece
Cashew nuts 1 Tbsp.
Raisins 2 Tbsp.
Sugar 4 Tbsp.
Salt a pinch

Preparation

Cook the rice adding water and Turmeric powder and keep aside.
Heat Ghee/butter in a pan, add and saute cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg on low flame.
Add the cooked rice and sugar and mix well together.  Add a pinch of salt if needed.
Serve garnishing with cashew nuts and raisins.
