Barely Soup

Barley soup

Ingredients

Barley (Whole). 250 grams
Potatoes 250 grams
Onions  250 grams
Thyme chopped ½ tsp
Milk 250 ml.
Water 750 ml.
Butter 1 tbsp

Preparation

Wash and drain the barley.  Chop the onions and potatoes.  Boil barley, onions, potatoes adding water and salt till they become tender.  When cooked add butter thyme, salt and pepper.  Add milk and parsley and allow to boil before serving.
